Sometimes it flops...

My husband is a wonderful cook and is very creative when coming up with his own recipes. Typically they are very good, but then we can't ever duplicate them because he doesn't write down what he's doing as he is cooking. He just returned from a trip to California this past week and wanted to get in the kitchen to try out a dish he had been thinking about. It sounded good in theory, but the final dish wasn't exactly what he had in mind. I know I've seen recipes that include most of the ingredients he used, so I'm not sure why we weren't happy with his dish. I'm posting the picture so you can see his creation, but not posting the "recipe" because it's not one we will be making again (or would suggest that you try for that matter!). The ingredients included fettuccine, peas, cooked shrimp, olive oil, garlic, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper strips for a little added color.
