Strawberry Spinach Salad found in Taste of Home June/July 2008 issue
1/4 cup slivered almonds
2 Tbls sugar
1 pkg (10 oz) fresh spinach, torn
1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
dressing:
2 Tbls canola oil
1 Tbls raspberry vinegar or red wine vinegar
1 green onion, finely chopped
1 1/2 tsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp poppy seeds
1/4 tsp salt
dash paprika
In a large skillet, cook and stir almonds and sugar over low heat until sugar is dissolved and almonds are coated. Spread on foil to cool; break apart.
In a large salad bowl, combine the spinach, strawberries and almonds. In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the dressing ingredients; shake well. Drizzle over salad; toss gently to coat. Serve immediately. Serves 10.

I love this salad so much! I have made it several times and it is always so yummy. Have you tried it with dried cranberries and goat cheese too?
